The Kavita and Vinod Khanna Foundation (KVKF) carries forward the legacy of Shri Vinod Khanna — celebrated actor, four-time Member of Parliament from Gurdaspur, and tireless public servant.

Through grassroots programmes in sports, mental wellness, skill development, and leadership, the Foundation is empowering youth and reviving communities in Punjab’s border districts.

Shri Vinod Khanna represented Gurdaspur in Parliament for four terms. Beyond his global fame as a film icon, he was known in Punjab as a committed local leader who championed development, dignity, and hope for his people.

 

Our Timeline

📍 1998 : Shri Vinod Khanna is elected Member of Parliament from Gurdaspur for the first time.

📍 1999–2009 : Serves three consecutive terms, initiates infrastructure, health, and youth development projects.

📍 2014 : Re-elected MP. Despite illness, continues to serve Gurdaspur till his passing in 2017.

📍 2022 : The Kavita and Vinod Khanna Foundation is formally launched to carry forward his vision.

📍 2023–24 : KVKF launches daily football coaching in 103 villages, adds volleyball, mental wellness, and skill development.

📍 2025 : In partnership with government and civil society, KVKF scales its model across Punjab’s most vulnerable communities.
